There is a long term tenancy in place on part of the Foreshore to Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council.

The property is located on Rathlin Island off the coast of County Antrim and is Northern Ireland's northernmost point. As of the 2021 Census there were 141 people living on the island. The island is situated between Ballycastle and the Mull of Kintyre in Scotland. It is internationally important for breeding seabirds and is home to Northern Ireland's largest seabird colony just six miles off the coast of Ballycastle. Rathlin Island is one of Northern Ireland’s most captivating destinations with its rugged cliffs and is connected to Ballycastle via ferry.
